IMDA reports that Singapore’s digital economy reached 18.6% of GDP in 2024. AI adoption rose from 4.2% to 14.5% among SMEs and from 44% to 62.5% among non-SMEs. Nearly three in four surveyed workers reported using AI at work, while 85% of those users reported benefits in productivity, time or work quality. The worker findings came from an online pulse survey of about 320 working individuals conducted in May and June 2025, while the job-redesign result discussed below came from a separate pulse survey of about 500 AI-using firms in the same period. These figures indicate broadening participation, but they should be read as adoption and reported-benefit measures from defined surveys—not as a census or complete evidence that every implementation is mature, equally effective or embedded in core operations.

Among AI-adopting firms, 63% expected to redesign jobs to integrate AI more effectively. This points to a more consequential stage than adding isolated tools.
